Nana Akua Anyidoho is an Associate Professor and currently the Director of the Centre for Social Policy Studies at the University of Ghana. She has a PhD in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University and is interested in the ways in which marginalised social groups, particularly women and young people, work and advocate for better lives within the context of generally unfavourable policy structures. She has published in development studies, gender studies, and African Studies journals, and is on the editorial boards of African Affairs, African Review of Economics and Finance, Ghana Studies and Policy Studies. She has held leadership roles in a number of professional and membership organisations, serving on the Executive Committee of CODESRIA, the Board of Directors of the African Studies Association (ASA-USA), and as President of the Ghana Studies Association.
